"Back to the Basics"
Have you ever been suck in a state of self emprovement ? You have the desire to be better; not only for yourself & those around you, but for God.
In 2 Chronicles 6:37-39 it reads, "37 and if they have a change of heart in the land where they are held captive, and repent and plead with you in the land of their captivity and say, 'We have sinned, we have done wrong and acted wickedly'; 38 and if they turn back to you with all their heart and soul in the land of their captivity where they were taken, and pray toward the land you gave their fathers, toward the city you have chosen and toward the temple I have built for your Name; 39 then from heaven, your dwelling place, hear their prayer and their pleas, and uphold their cause. And forgive your people, who have sinned against you."
I know people who spend their whole lives perfecting everything they do, because they want to be better - as if any human could reach perfection besides Jesus himself. I wonder , if they really want to be better, then why don't they just ask God to change their hearts? You won't be successful at fulfilling God's plan for your life if he's not the head of your life.
I also know people who are unhappy. They're so lost in their sin that they're not sure how to get out. My heart breaks for them. All i can tell them is that there's hope; Jesus saves. If they want to change, they have to ask God to change their hearts. it's hard, but it makes life alot easier to handle.
I want to challenge you to take it back to the basics: To put God first in everyhing you do. Not sometimes, part time, or when you feel like it. Make him your first love & see how fast you drop your bad habbits, kick your addiction, find new friends.. God blesses those
I pray that as you read this God will grant you the "serenity to understand the things you cannot change, the courage to change the things you can, and the WISDOM to know the difference."
Together we can change lives, become a movement.
